Welfare of the Elderly

Provide a warm and caring home to the elderly who spend their aging years, in peace and comfort of Srimad Yoganjaneya Trust

There is a burgeoning number of the elderly uncared population suffering from poverty, housing shortage and harsh conflicts between the generations. With mass migration of younger generation to metros and sometimes to foreign land, many find it difficult to accommodate their ageing family. A lot of these veterans are sometimes too incapacitated and unwell with no one to take care of them.

The adjoining areas of Madanapalle require such a facility to look after the ageing community and SYT has taken this much needed initiative and is looking for support.

The objective of this old-age- home is to provide a warm and welcoming environment for pastoral care of the elderly where they can comfortably spend the last years of their life being looked after well. The old-age-home would have its door open to all of the needy from the abetting community of Madanapalle and adjoining areas.

The old-age-home is envisaged to have housing, catering, recreational facilities, and essential medication. The old-age-home shall entertain simple programs like income generation – for creating a feeling of independence in the resident community. The home would also provide facilities for interaction between the local communities through social services – for helping people in other areas.

The old-age-home shall have 100 nursing beds with the necessary support services to begin with and progressively expand depending on requirements. The home would provide separate facilities for men and women. The old-age-home would be primarily directed at helping the poor people who do not have the means to support themselves.

The doors of the mission would be open to all. Healthcare would only be through collaboration with a local hospital. The home shall initially have three or more vehicles on full time duty for care and emergencies
