Health Care

Provide primary and secondary healthcare to the poor, uncared-for children, and rural population in need

There is scarcity of any or quality healthcare provided in the semi-urban areas of Chittoor district. SYT has taken the initiative to bridge this gap in the hospitals-to-population and doctors-to-population ratio, by investing and maintaining mobile hospitals.

The objective of the project is to provide medical services to the needy masses in the remote parts of Andhra Pradesh, especially in the drought affected and the tribal areas of Rayalaseema. The economically weaker sections of the society shall benefit from this service.

The scope of this activity would entail treatments of minor & major ailments including, providing support for accidents and emergencies / diagnosis of disease, vaccination for contagious diseases etc. Camps for cataract surgery will also be provided. Doctors on duty would largely constitute volunteers – to serve the society in line with the regulations of SYT charter.

Additional services are expected to include health exhibitions, film shows, family welfare, and health education programs. The district authorities shall be engaged actively with this program. Camps for analysis and treatment of T.B., malaria will be held on an ongoing basis. Emphasis would be given to detection of cancer in the early stages and medical help would be provided for preliminary treatment.

The mobile units shall provide support for hospitals in the region. The mobile units will be able to dispense medication for minor ailments; however for serious ailments, major surgical operations and expensive drug dispensation, the local hospitals would be relied upon. Active collaboration with the local government, administrative departments etc., would be part of the admin to ensure success.

The Healthcare services shall also include:

  • Provide both preliminary and advanced medical services to rural areas
  • Running free medical clinics with trained and experienced doctors / para-medical staff
  • Periodical medical camps with experts from various disciplines and medical labs – will be organized
  • Running 24 x 7 ambulance services to cater to emergencies
  • Eye camps and arranging for cataract operations to the needy
  • Conducting awareness camps on general health, hygiene and cleanliness
  • Distribution of preventive medicines during outbreak of epidemics
  • Mobile medical care & lab centers for the villages in the rural areas

The doors of the mission would be open to all beings alike!
